For parents
Goal: Your child learns to continue a pattern by finding its core and saying it again and again.
- Have your child say the pattern out loud from the start. The next word usually comes naturally.
- Ask: what is the core? Which part of the core comes next?
- The labs after the cards are small games. Your child finishes bead patterns, then finishes a robot program that climbs stairs.
Away from the screen: Start a clap pattern, like clap, clap, stomp, clap, clap, and stop. Your child does the next move. Then they start one for you.
